PAL 2.0 Project Info
The Prosocial and Active Learning (PAL) Classroom 2.0 project is designed to enhance school climate and culture in middle schools throughout the Midwest.
Active learning is when students are engaged in authentic, real-world, problem-based learning experiences where they rely on teamwork to solve complex problems. Unfortunately, many teachers find these types of learning experiences challenging to implement due to the lack of social skills in students. Prosocial behaviors include the social skills needed for students to effectively work with others in and out of the classroom. PAL Classrooms puts an emphasis on developing and enhancing student social skills as they engage in problem-based learning activities in today's technology-rich learning environments. The enriched learning environments in PAL Classrooms help set the foundation for continued student success and put students on the path to being workforce-ready.
