Project Mission

The Prosocial and Active Learning Classroom Project is a partnership between MU - College of Education Faculty, the eMINTS National Center, and the American Institutes of Research to improve student achievement and prosocial skills in high-poverty, rural schools. Through this partnership, we aim to make a positive impact on teaching and learning by conducting and applying the best research practices and disseminating knowledge that will improve the quality of education in the state, the nation, and the world.

“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.” - Martin Luther King Jr.
